Students from the University of North Florida helped to design this exhibit for a course co-taught by Dr. Keith H. Ashley and Dr. Denise I. Bossy in the fall of 2019 called “Public Archaeology and History of Florida Indians”:
Sarah Ali, Timothy Brown, Jessica Chew, Megan Colee, Courtney Dulaney, Rachael Durkin, Shelby Foy, Kristin Holland, Luke Kasbarian, Anna Kelbaugh, Carolyn Kirkman, Aaron Meling, Imani Philips, Lacy Priest, Melissa Raudt, Amanda Rodriguez, Shane Santora, Noah Smith, Mel Vasquez, and Shane Windhaus.
Generous funding was provided by the Humanities Initiative of the College of Arts and Sciences at UNF, the UNF Archaeology Laboratory through a grant from the Cummer Family Foundation, and the Beaches Museum.
We also wish to thank Dr. Broadwell for sharing his work on the Mocama language, as well as Michael Boyles and David Wilson for designing the exhibit maps, and Brittany Cohill for managing this project.
